This post might be out of topic but it's my great honor to tell everybody that Philippines' Manny Pacquiao beat Oscar Dela Hoya via TKO at the start of 9th. Here's the round by round event.

ROUND 1
De La Hoya closed as a 2-1 favorite. De La Hoya is minus-200 and Pacquiao is plus-170. The over-under is 9½ rounds. Pacquiao comes out with a slight weight advantage tonight. On the unofficial HBO scales, he weighed 148½ and De La Hoya was 147. De La Hoya is the aggressor early, but nothing lands in the first minute. Straight left from Pacquiao and then a combination from Pacquiao connects. Lead left by Pacquiao. Right to the body by Oscar. Manny misses a big hook. Straight left by Pacquiao. Combination to the head by De La Hoya backs Pacquiao up. Right by Oscar connects. Straight left by Manny.
Iole scores it 10-9, Pacquiao

ROUND 2
Lead right by De La Hoya and a right hook from Pacquiao. Double jab by De La Hoya. Pacquiao is circling away. Combination from Oscar but doesn’t land flush. Combination to the body by De La Hoya. Right-left from Pacquiao. De La Hoya’s face is reddened from the punches. Pacquiao left lands and then an uppercut. Lead left by Pacquiao keeps getting through. Difference in hand speed is stark. Hard jab and then a left by Pacquiao. Lead left by Pacquiao.
Iole scores it 10-9, Pacquiao.

ROUND 3
Lead left from Pacquiao to open the round connects. De La Hoya has to stop that. De La Hoya is doing nothing offensively in first minute of round. Pacquiao flicks a jab that is short. Right to the head and left to the body from De La Hoya. Lead left again by Pacquiao. Left to the body from Pacquiao. Oscar seems befuddled. Right hook to the body from Pacquiao.
Iole scores it 10-9, Pacquiao

ROUND 5
De La Hoya connects with a jab, but first 30 seconds of round are very slow. They’re circling but not throwing much. Pacquiao lands a right hook. Triple jab from Pacquiao. Combination from Pacquiao backs De La Hoya up. The way this is going, it wouldn’t be a shock if De La Hoya were to quit on the stool at some point. He’s taking a tremendous amount of punishment. Body shot by Oscar lands and then two lefts. Oscar’s left eye is closing. He looks like a beaten, old and shot fighter.
Iole scores it 10-9, Pacquiao

ROUND 6
Nothing happens in first minute of round. Pacquiao lands left to body and a left to the cheek. They trade in the corner and Pacquiao gets the best of it. Straight left from Pacquiao lands. Hard straight left by Pacquiao snaps Oscar’s head back. De La Hoya’s left eye is a mess. Right by Pacquiao lands on that eye. This may be stopped soon by the corner.
Iole scores it 10-9, Pacquiao

ROUND 7
Lead right by De La Hoya lands to open the round. Pacquiao rakes De La Hoya with a three-punch combination. Double jab by Manny. Pacquiao batters De La Hoya into the corner. He’s pinned on the ropes and Pacquiao is firing away. Fight is close to ending. Pacquiao is hitting De La Hoya hard with everything he throws. Oscar is in big, big trouble. Left to the body by Pacquiao hurts Oscar. Oscar has never been beaten like this in any of his 44 previous fights. Pacquiao is overwhelming him.
Iole scores it 10-8, Pacquiao

ROUND 8
Pacquiao goes to the body and is warned by referee Tony Weeks to keep them up. Lead right by Oscar connects. Combination by Pacquiao pins Oscar in the corner. Lead left by Pacquiao buzzes De La Hoya. Combination wobbles him in the corner. Double jab by Pacquiao. Combination by Pacquiao lands. De La Hoya goes to the body. Four-punch combination by Pacquiao lands and hurts Oscar.
Iole scores it 10-9, Pacquiao

ROUND 9

A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN

Tom Hanks - Jimmy Dugan (Manager)
Geena Davis - Dottie Henson (Catcher)
Lorie Petty - Kit Keller (Pithcer)
Madonna - Mae Monabito (Center Field)
Rosie O'Donnel - Doris Murphy (3rd base)

BRIEF INTRODUCTION
League of Their Own is film inspired by real life account of the players of the All American Girls Professional Baseball League, (1943 to 1954). All able bodied male were called to military service, Major League Baseball is feared to shut down. A business man came to an idea to create an all girls base ball league. And thus, the AAGPBL came to life

PLOT
Dottie Henson is a typical farm girl who likes softball, she a superb catcher and terrific hitter. And most of all she's pretty and have a lot male fans. Her kid sister Kit Keller, is somewhat her opposite, though she's also pretty and a good player but she make terrible decisions during the games. Recruiters travel all over America to find and recruit girls who can play well, BEAUTY is a plus.During the course of recruitment, a persistent father brought her daughter, Marla Hooch, for an initial tryout, and the recruiter was amazed with her hitting capabilities, both on rightee and leftee. But amazement was turned into desperation when he saw her face, but still she was able to make it through the tryout.

During the final tryout, were the three met Mae Monabito and Doris Murphy, and other members of the team.

And after a series of trainings and lectures, to include table etiquette, grooming and personality development, they are trained not only to be professional baseball players but as real women. And now here comes the list of the members of each team, and their managers.

Dottie, Kit, Marla, Mae and Doris was in the same team The Rockford Peaches. And their manager is a former Baseball Hall of Famer turned drunkard Jimmy Dugan. And that started their exciting careers as ball players. How they touched each other's life, dealing with problems by themselves and started a true and everlasting friendship.

IMPRESSIONS:
I really enjoyed watching this movie since I first saw it on 1993, and I am still a kid that time, me and my brothers and sister watched this over and over again. We really liked the part were everybody from the Rockford team was introduced in close up range, like the pretty ones, Dottie Henson, Kit Keller, Mae Monabido, Ellen Sue Gotlander, Betty "Spaghetti" Horn, etc.. But Marla Hooch was introduced almost five meters away from the camera. I still can't stop smiling whenever I remember that scene. The players were also obliged to wear short skirts, which make them instant attraction to the crowd, especially to men.

MY REACTION
Positive: I can't stop myself watching this movie so many times; the story is very entertaining, a combination of comedy, drama and sports. It has a superb cast. Nice delivery on lines. And has a very touching ending.

Negative: so far I can't say anything wrong about this movie, except for I don't have a DVD copy of this. hehehe

* Robert De Niro - Turk
* Al Pacino - Rooster
* Carla Gugino - Karen Corelli
* Donnie Wahlberg - Detective Riley
* Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson - Marcus "Spider" Smith
* Brian Dennehy - Lieutenant Hingus
* Frank John Hughes - Charles Randall
* Rob Dyrdek - Robert Bradley
* John Leguizamo - Detective Perez
* Papoose - club rapper
* Jim Jones - club rapper

BRIEF INTRODUCTION:
Turk (Robert De Niro) and Rooster (Al Pacino) were long time partners as homicide detective. For almost 20 years in the service, they treated each other as brothers. But their territory has been invaded by a series of killings. And the evidence says: "IT'S A DIRTY POLICE WORK".

PLOT
Turk and Rooster have been in the department for a long time. They are one of the veteran homicide investigators in town. They see a lot of cases in their whole police life, but sometimes they get emotionally connected with it. The duo has been following the cases of some of their previous suspects. But when some of them were acquitted by the court due to the following reasons: lack of evidence, bribery, influence, harassment or whatsoever. The serial killings started. Their target: ACQUITTED CRIMINALS.

One by one, every known guilty criminal who has been acquitted were summarily executed using a caliber 45 pistol with silencer. No forced entry, no robbery on the scene.

Turk and Rooster started their investigation regarding the series of killings with the help of CSI operative Karen Corelli (Carla Gugino). Evidences were now ready and the direction is pointing to a : POLICE OFFICER.

Their in-depth investigation will go deeper in the system of street justice, obsession and murder.

IMPRESSIONS:
Positive:Righteous Kill is top billed by two of Hollywood's Greatest Actors of our time, Robert De Niro and Al Pacino. I saw the trailer and I love it.

Negative:But when I watch the movie, I was frustrated that the storyline is not what I have been expected. Almost from the start I can guess who will be the final suspect is, and I was right. Storyline goes this way: There's a serial killer on the loose. Killing suspects that have been previously acquitted of their crimes due to lack of merits, influence or money.

The writer failed to add some spice to the movie. They also failed to add other possible suspects to make more twist on the story. There is no problem with the actors, they performed well and they give their best. I was expecting to have a storyline like "The Heat" but to my dismay, Righteous Kill is a worse movie. If it is not with De Niro and Pacino, i would not watch this.

And today is my day off, so it's a perfect timing to watch this excellent movie. I loved almost all part of the movie, the singing, dancing. The cast is very good in their performances especially Brosnan and Streep, and here's some of my favorite scenes in the movie:
1. Scene where the all boys group singing, jumping and hopping with their flippers.
2. The Meryll Streep solo "the winner takes it all" with Pierce Brosnan
3. Scene where all the girls in the island joined Streep and her friends in singing and dancing.(Dancing Queen)

VANTAGE POINT

STARRING:

* Dennis Quaid - Agent Thomas Barnes
* Matthew Fox -Agent Kent Taylor
* Forest Whitaker - Howard Lewis
* Sigourney Weaver - Rex Brooks
* William Hurt - President Ashton
* Eduardo Noriega - Enrique

BRIEF INTRODUCTION
US President Henry Ashton (William Hurt) is about to visit Salamanca, Spain when a group of terrorists set up an assassination attempt against him. US Secret Service Agents Kent Taylor (Matthew Fox) and the veteran Agent Thomas Barnes (Dennis Quaid) are there to protect the president. But the actual assassination was noticed not only by Barnes, but by some other spectators in the crowd. Howard Lewis (Forrest Whitaker), a tourist; Rex Brooks (Sigourney Weaver), news director; Enrique (Eduardo Noriega), Spanish police officer. And when the smoke have gone. The president has been killed!

PLOT
US Secret Service Agents Thomas Barnes and Kent Taylor were assigned to protect President Henry Ashton at a landmark summit on the global war on terror. But upon the arrival of the president on the scene, he was assassinated while delivering his speech. Chaos and terror immediately ensued. People where running in all direction, and the authorities is now hunting for the assassin/s. In the crowd, a tourist from the United States, Howard Lewis, believes and thinks that he caught the shooter on his video cam while filming the event as his present for his kids back home.

Not far enough from the scene in the same time frame, Spanish Police Officer Enrique, is in covert operation as personal bodyguard of the city Mayor of Salamanca, he immediately covered his subject upon hearing the gunshot, but he was apprehended by other agents since he was carrying a gun.

Far behind a OB Van is Rex Brooks, the News Director of Global News Network (GNN), where she also noticed some suspicious movements within the crown and to the building next to the podium. And the scenario is getting clearer, when each and everyone's perspective has been presented and the real assassin has been identified.

IMPRESSION
Vantage Point is another unique style of delivering the audience the excitement and the thrill of suspense drama movies. Director Pete Travis did a very good job. Though this film received negative review from movie critics, I still considered it as a nice movie, every scene makes me guess how they get connected to each other. But there are some scenes; I believe that does not follow the time frame. I paid too much attention on the time, on how many minutes/seconds when an event occurs, but still it's a very good movie. No wonder it has a total gross of more than $150 million worldwide.

MY REACTION
Positive:

1. The approach of the director is unique, since he give each and every character its own time regarding their perspective.
2. The story is not very complicated.
3. It makes me guess each and every perspective I see.
4. It has a very unique style in delivering his message to the viewers.
5. Nice setting and cinematography.
6. Unpredictable twist and turns.
7. So many surprising scenes.

Negative:
1. There are some scenes or time frames that does not match to other characters' time frame/perspectives.
2. Too many repetitive scenes, which I think should not be included anymore since it was already clear and presented on two or more perspective.

MY REACTION
Positive:
This is one of the greatest crime saga of all time! This film offers nothing but pure entertainment and suspense. This might be the father of all crime sagas. The actors are exceptional, having De Niro and Pacino in a film is already a MUST SEE. A lot of nice and spectacular scenes, especially when the two came face to face with each other talking over a cup of coffee about their traveled paths, as if they were long time friends. And the BEST part is, when they say that the next time they will meet, they wont hesitate to shoot or kill each other. And guarantees that surely one of them will be DEAD. Awesome!

Negative: I can't think of any except for those criminals who though they can imitate what they have seen in this film. And they were right, they too ended up - Dead. LOL.

* Kevin Spacey - Lt Chris Sabian
* Regina Taylor - Karen Roman
* David Morse - Cmdr. Adam Beck
* John Spencer - Chief Al Travis
* Ron Rifkin - Grant Frost
* Paul Guilfoyle - Nathan "Nate" Roenick
* J.T. Walsh - Insp Terrence Neibum
* Siobhan Fallon - Maggie
* Paul Giamatti - Rudy Timmons

BRIEF INTRODUCTION
New life, happy family and successful career was in stored for Lt Danny Roman (Samuel L. Jackson) after his wedding. He is a top notched hostage negotiator of the Chicago Police. Everything was going smooth for Danny. Loving and understanding wife, nice friends, excellent career, nothing to ask for. But one RELIABLE TIP would change Danny's perception to people he considered his friends and to police force he served with all his life.

It is a story of controversy, corruption, conspiracy and lies. And the fight of one man who puts into his own hands the power of JUSTICE, LAW and ORDER. The Negotiator is a thriller/drama directed by F. Gary Gray

PLOT
Danny and Nate (Paul Guilfoyle) were long time partners, they are one of the best hostage negotiators in Chicago. Trusting each other's life in every engagements they were into. They were more than partners, they considered each other as brothers. Everything seems to be fine for Danny, he just got married to his wife Karen (Regina Taylor), he's the hot shot officer in the department, the man of the hour they say. But all hell breaks loose when Nate approached him regarding the investigation Nate's doing. The retirement fund of the department was gone. Nate believes that someone in their department stole their money with the help of someone in the Internal Affairs Division. They decided to dig deeper in the controversy, but Nate was murdered and Danny was framed up to his death.

Now facing for a possible maximum penalty, Danny was also been framed up to be the perpetrator of the lost funds. And what makes it more painful is that everybody believed including the people he considered as his friends, especially Cmdr. Adam Beck (David Morse).

Chief Al Travis (John Spencer) then immediately put him under preventive suspension, taking his badge and his gun. Danny decided to talk to Insp Neibum (J.T. Walsh) of the IAD regarding Nate's investigation. But tensions rose, and Danny has no options left, he has to hold Neibum and two other persons Maggie (Siobhan Fallon) and Rudy (Paul Giamatti) as hostages to find the truth.

Within minutes, several numbers of SWAT Tactical Teams were in position, including their surveillance cameras. But Danny knows the drill. He knows the system and the procedure. He knows everything. He's been in that situation a hundred times in his 20 more years in the police service.

Danny now made a demand. He would not talk to anybody except for Lt. Chris Sabian (Kevin Spacey), also a top notched negotiator from the Westside of Chicago, Sabian has a record of ZERO fatality in his entire career as negotiator. He has a record of 55 straight hours of negotiation. Both Danny and Chris believed that FULL BREACH is the last or maybe the worse option in hostage negotiation.

Two of Chicago's best negotiator tried to talked down one another. The needs the truth and the other for his surrender.
A no boring scene movie, every minute is detailed and your heart pounds. Wait until you saw the ending.

MY REACTION
Positive:
I saw this movie more than 5 years ago, but when I'm checking my DVD's, I saw this film and decided to watch it again, though I saw it already, I am still thrilled on every scenes, on every dialogues. Samuel L. Jackson is truly remarkable here, he looks so confident during his negotiation scenes like he's a real negotiator. I love how he deliver his lines. He has authority in his voice. Kevin Spacey in the other hand, I love his portrayal as an equally talented negotiator, he has the charisma of a real police officer. He also looks so knowledgeable in that film. Director F. Gary Gray, honestly I never heard of him, it's just today that I knew his the director of the film. I thought it's one of Ridley Scott's movie because of its quality and entertainment. But He really make me say "WOW" to him, this might be his BEST movie ever, no question.

What I really like about the film is that when Roman and Sabian tried to talked each other down. Each of them tried to outwit and to outplay each other, they used all they skills in negotiations and its very entertaining to watch.

Negative: There might have some scenes which I think is very impossible to happen but the story and the delivery of the actors made it to be unnoticed.

STARRING:

Uma Thurman - Jenny Johnson / G-Girl
Luke Wilson - Matthew "Matt" Saunders
Rainn Wilson - Vaughn Haige
Anna Faris - Hannah Lewis
Eddie Izzard - Barry Edward Lambert / Professor Bedlam

BRIEF INTRODUCTION
Luke Wilson stars as Matt Saunders, an unlucky guy when it comes with women after being turned down fro a date by his office mate and his crush Hannah Lewis (Anna Faris). He met Jenny Johnson played by Uma Thurman in a train ride by the help of his best friend Vaughn Haige (Rainn Wilson). Jenny is also a secret super hero known as G-Girl and an arch enemy of the super villain Prof. Bedlam (Eddie Izzard).

Try picturing this: a not so lucky guy with women plus a neurotic woman plus a superhero plus a hot co-office worker plus an idiot best friend and a not so scary super villain equals a funny and cracker-nut movie.

PLOT
Matt Saunders again suffered another "NO" from his office mate Hannah. Desperate to have a girlfriend, Matt and Vaughn saw a simple and shy woman during their train ride from home. She is Jenny Johnson. An art fanatic and a very mysterious girl. After several days, Matt asked Jenny for a date and she said YES. It is the start of their wild and funny relationship. After several dates Jenny confessed that she and G-Girl are one. Matt's world starts to be more complicated, Jenny/G-Girl is starting to be more selfish regarding their relationship, showing disturbed and neurotic behavior. The situation got worse when Matt decided to end their relationship. G-Girl is now a villain on Matt's life tearing off his ceiling, tossing his car into the outer space, throwing a shark into his condo unit. Matt is now being targeted by the arch enemy of G-Girl, Prof. Bedlam. Bedlam offered Matt a deal to defeat G-Girl. Matt, now terrible fearing for his life with Jenny, accepted and agreed with the evil plans of Prof. Bedlam. An the most amazing fight scene followed. The best "girl fight" I ever saw.

IMPRESSIONS
Positive:
I love the character of Anna Faris, I always like the way she act, especially when she was surprised, her big eyes and blonde hair is perfect for the role. A lot of good scenes in the movie. And here are some of my favorite scenes from the movie:

1. when G-Girl uses her laser eyes to write "dick" in the forehead of Matt.
2. taking all the clothes of matt during a client presentation.
3. G-Girl tossing a great white shark into Matt and Hannah while in bed.
4. Jenny and Matt's 'explosive' bed scene.
5. Jenny and Hannah's superb girl fight.

And my most favorite scene is the sexy scene of G-Girl and Matt hundreds of feet above his roof top. And made an amazing free fall during the climax. Hahahaha! Wow! That would be great!
