BRIEF INTRODUCTION
League of Their Own is film inspired by real life account of the players of the All American Girls Professional Baseball League, (1943 to 1954). All able bodied male were called to military service, Major League Baseball is feared to shut down. A business man came to an idea to create an all girls base ball league. And thus, the AAGPBL came to life

PLOT
Dottie Henson is a typical farm girl who likes softball, she a superb catcher and terrific hitter. And most of all she's pretty and have a lot male fans. Her kid sister Kit Keller, is somewhat her opposite, though she's also pretty and a good player but she make terrible decisions during the games. Recruiters travel all over America to find and recruit girls who can play well, BEAUTY is a plus.During the course of recruitment, a persistent father brought her daughter, Marla Hooch, for an initial tryout, and the recruiter was amazed with her hitting capabilities, both on rightee and leftee. But amazement was turned into desperation when he saw her face, but still she was able to make it through the tryout.

During the final tryout, were the three met Mae Monabito and Doris Murphy, and other members of the team.

And after a series of trainings and lectures, to include table etiquette, grooming and personality development, they are trained not only to be professional baseball players but as real women. And now here comes the list of the members of each team, and their managers.

Dottie, Kit, Marla, Mae and Doris was in the same team The Rockford Peaches. And their manager is a former Baseball Hall of Famer turned drunkard Jimmy Dugan. And that started their exciting careers as ball players. How they touched each other's life, dealing with problems by themselves and started a true and everlasting friendship.

IMPRESSIONS:
I really enjoyed watching this movie since I first saw it on 1993, and I am still a kid that time, me and my brothers and sister watched this over and over again. We really liked the part were everybody from the Rockford team was introduced in close up range, like the pretty ones, Dottie Henson, Kit Keller, Mae Monabido, Ellen Sue Gotlander, Betty "Spaghetti" Horn, etc.. But Marla Hooch was introduced almost five meters away from the camera. I still can't stop smiling whenever I remember that scene. The players were also obliged to wear short skirts, which make them instant attraction to the crowd, especially to men.

MY REACTION
Positive: I can't stop myself watching this movie so many times; the story is very entertaining, a combination of comedy, drama and sports. It has a superb cast. Nice delivery on lines. And has a very touching ending.

Negative: so far I can't say anything wrong about this movie, except for I don't have a DVD copy of this. hehehe
